We are looking for a HTML Developer to join our Technical department. Their role will be distributed between small and large projects equally, leading and taking ownership of smaller projects while for larger projects they will work with and be guided by a senior developer.

Overview
The Development Tech Lead has responsibility for working within the larger development team on websites, mobile sites and apps for mobile. The role will take overall responsibility for knowledge/delivery on one or more large clients and is roughly a 60/40 mix of scoping/leading projects and hands-on development. This ratio will change as projects demand.
Some of our clients have complex platforms and rigorous coding and release standards – this role must thoroughly understand those guidelines and ruthlessly enforce them within the team. Whilst the role currently has no direct reports, there is an element of mentoring the more junior members of the team. In this role candidates are expected to both code and work collaboratively within a project team.
Each project will vary - some will be hands on coding and on others you will provide timing estimates, specifications, technical direction & standards for more junior members of the team. An expert understanding of modern object oriented development techniques and the elements of good user experience will be crucial to success; advantageous would be an understanding of multiple mobile platforms (e.g. iOS, Android, etc..) in-depth.
The Role
The role covers a broad range of technologies, and you must be expert in at least two languages with a strong understanding of the others. The current primary languages you will be expected to have some fluency in are as follows:-
• Advanced HTML/CSS/JS
• PHP
• Objective C for iOS
• Java for Android – using Android SDK 3.2 and up
• Other languages are an advantage (Symbian C++, Blackberry Java, Actionscript, etc…)

- Creating rich mobile applications, websites and web apps from concept/prototype through to final deployed version

The unit aims to work in iterative and agile ways to develop prototypes, products and services that advance our clients’ businesses. Tribal SPARK have an opportunity for a placement mobile developer. This is an opportunity to work on various mobile projects across a number of high profile clients and learn from Tribal SPARK’S existing development team. Candidates should have a strong grounding in visual design and an understanding of mobile/tablet user experience as well as having in skills in one or more of the following areas:-

- Object orientated development patterns
- HTML/CSS/Javascript development
- Flash/Flex development
Additionally candidates will be expected to be familiar with industry standard design tools such as those from Adobe, source control systems such as Subversion, and standard Microsoft Office tools.
